Sharmanji Yarns Private Limited is a spinning mill based in Ludhiana, Punjab (India) which manufactures eminent quality yarns. From a trading business in the yarn industry to be recognised in the highest echelons in yarn manufacturing (basic and value-added), Sharmanji has undergone a consequential transformation over the last decades. Company is equipped with hi-tech state-of-art machinery from globally renowned textile machinery manufacturers such as Reiter, Truetzschler, Schlafhrost, Murata and LMW. The hi-tech machineries are further accoutered with reliable Uster’s quality control equipment and are combined with a computerized information system. Sharmanji offers a wide range of specialized greige yarns in cotton/polyester with various diversified blends. The product profile consists of 100% cotton combed/compact yarns, Polyester-Cotton combed/compact blended yarns and value-added yarns (jaspe or slub yarns). The commercial operations of the company commenced in 2008 with the installation of 25,000 spindles in two phases. Within the next decade, the production capacity increased five-fold to 130000 spindles.
